Playtech Looking for More
One of the top online gaming software providers in the world, Playtech
is not resting on their laurels as they continue to look for more.
They are rolling out new features on their iPoker client and they
are also looking at making other moves.
The new release of the mobile client for Playtech on their iPoker
network was just another of the new software advancements for Playtech.
It was expected that the new upgrades would include the Elite VIP
system. Other upgrades include new shootout and heads-up tourneys
and other tournament options.
Playtech is also looking to expand into other areas as they have
money available since they sold their stake in William Hill Online.
Playtech Chief Executive Officer Mor Weizer said that the company
is looking for new opportunities. "We see exciting alternatives
and opportunities for the company given the firepower we have now,"
Weizer said recently to Reuters.
It was a good first quarter for Playtech as gross income rose 16
percent for the first three months of the year. "Even though
we will not generate a share of profit from William Hill from mid-April,
we are confident about the growth of the business," Weizer
said. "Playtech has made a strong start to 2013, delivering
a robust quarterly performance driven by our flagship casino product,
LIVE, and in particular mobile casino and Mobenga."
